XLSOR
The Need:
Founded in 2021, XLSOR is a fruit-scanning device that can tell you when to pick, how sweet the fruit is, and how long you can store it for. Entering a market that typically relies on their senses and avoids technology posed an initial challenge, so customer discovery was crucial for this project.
Goals:
1) Find target audience and create a campaign to reach them
2) Establish credibility to run a 2023 pilot
The Approach:
Customer discovery was the top priority in order to build a marketing approach. We utilized connections within our network first, then found other contacts online. After ~15 phone and video calls, we learned more about the lack of tech and pain points it causes within the peach industry and shared about our pilot program.
After an understanding of the customer profiles and pain points, I began creating the XLSOR logo, website, pitch decks, one-pagers, and report templates to be used for the pilot program.
The Result:
XLSOR ran a successful 2023 pilot with six paying customers. The report templates were easy to use for the team and allowed fast report creation. The initial relationship building helped create trust and allowed for transparent feedback to optimize the 2024 process.
